Weddings are absolutely beautiful! Walking down the aisle, vowing your love to one another, sealing it with a kiss; how could you not appreciate such a heartfelt occasion?

Flaunt These Dance Moves at Your Wedding Reception

While you may be familiar with lovely wedding traditions, such as the sand ceremony, are you aware that there are actually some musical traditions that you can incorporate into your big day?

Here at Philadelphia String Quartet, we are honored with the opportunity to provide couples with wedding planning inspiration. That’s why we have gathered some music traditions that you can showcase at your own wedding. Would you like to learn what these traditions are? If so, continue reading to discover them:

·         Cake Cutting Ceremony. Your wedding cake is such a scrumptious element that you will get to indulge in on your big day! However, instead of just cutting the cake in silence, you can adorn the moment with a song. Consider choosing Hit Me with Your Best shot by Pat Benatar if you are choosing to smash, or Sugar, Sugar by the Archies if you are seeking a more romantic appeal.

·         Tosses. You will be taking part in some festive activities during your wedding reception, such as your bouquet and garter tosses. You can add some pizzazz to these moments by presenting songs during them. For the bouquet toss, consider choosing a song such as Single Ladies by Beyoncé. For the garter toss, Foxey Lady by Jimi Hendrix would be appropriate.

·         First Dance. The first dance as newlyweds will certainly be a moment to remember. However, it just wouldn’t be complete without the perfect song. If you would like to step outside the box with a more upbeat tune, Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader would be a grand choice. However, for a more intimate appeal, consider All of Me by John Legend.
