· How do you say that? Everyone is gifted with a name. However, some names are more uncommon than others. For your wedding, not only will your names be pronounced throughout your reception, but also those of who plan to give speeches, or even members of your bridal party. It is important that you inform your musician of the proper pronunciation of any names, so that as announcements are made, everyone is addressed correctly.
· Should guests request songs? It is up to the couple to decide if they would like their guests to request songs during their wedding reception. You will want to inform your musician of your decision, so that they are aware of how to properly handle the situation. If you have chosen to allow guests to make requests, you will want to discover a way for them to do so without interrupting your musician, such as by creating a list next to the musician.
· Are you opposed to any music? We all have our own taste when it comes to music. While you will of course want to play a variety of genres and songs to please your guests, there may be some that you don’t want presented. It is important that you develop a “do not play” list for you musician, so that no unfortunate songs are presented within your big day.
