Seeing as your wedding is your big day, you will most likely only want to hear songs that you like presented.

Here at Philadelphia String Quartet, we believe that every couple should have their music tailored to their big day. That’s why we have gathered some tips to assist you in avoiding hearing any songs that you don’t like within yours. Are you interested in learning what these tips are? If so, continue reading to discover them:

·         Create a List. If you would like to offer your guests the opportunity to request songs, but would like to still be strict with your requests, you can create a list. If you develop a list of songs that only you like, but still consists of many genres, then your guests can choose from that list for their requests. This way, they still get to feel involved and make requests, and you won’t have to worry about hearing any tunes that you don’t approve of.

·         RSVP Requests. Your wedding invitations will most likely include RSVP’s. Consider sending along a music request card too, which can be returned with them. This provides your guests the opportunity to request songs before the big day even arrives, which you can then incorporate into your wedding playlist, if you like them.

·         Just Say No. To avoid hearing any songs that you don’t like, you can just simply not allow song requests to be made. Your musicians will be able to work with the playlist you have created together, read the room, and present the right songs at the right times, for a successful outcome. Not accepting requests certainly won’t put a damper on your dance floor.
