Joined PSQ: 2011

Family: I grew up in a family of musicians. Everyone - my sister, brother, mother and father, all had degrees in music, as did my aunt and grandmother. Now I am surrounded by engineers - my husband (who is tone deaf, but really good at moving harps) and two sons (who are also musicians).

Education: Master of Music in Harp, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Music in Harp, all from Indiana University, Bloomington

Previous (or current) other lines of work besides PSQ: In addition to PSQ, I play with several orchestras, am an affiliate artist at Cairn University, and have a private teaching studio. I also participate in Lydia's Guild, which is a juried craft show held every November.

Favorite Book: I read two or three books a week, and then forget them! Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah is the most memorable book I've read in the last few years.

Favorite Food: Any kind of fruit, except lemons or limes!

Favorite Movie: When I was a little girl, Mary Poppins was my favorite

Favorite TV Show: Any DIY home show - Fixer Upper, Flip or Flop, This Old House, etc.

Favorite Actor/Actress: Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep

Favorite Season: Spring

Favorite Holiday: Christmas

Favorite Place in the world: In my husbands arms!

Favorite Hobby: I love to sew with my sewing and embroidery machines.

Favorite Sport: Basketball

Best advice you have ever received: "No! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try." Yoda

Three People I'd Like to Meet: Johann Sebastian Bach, Mahatma Gandhi, Marcel Grandjany

My Personal Hero: Jesus

One of my Greatest Experiences with Music: The world premiere performance of Ben Steinberg's Psalm of Thanksgiving for children's chorus, organ, harp & cello with the Toronto Children's Chorus at the Kimmel Center for the American Guild.

Most People Don't Know This About Me: I was a math minor in college, and almost got a master's degree in math, rather than music.
